According to PESCO online bill, (PESCO) stands for Peshawar Electric Supply Company was initially known as Peshawar District Electricity Council. Initially, it was established in 1982, later it was transformed into PESCO on 22-03-1998. Throughout Pakistan, PESCO provides power distribution services to over 2.6 million customers.

Among the PESCO Networks KPK power distribution systems there are 132, 66, and 33 kV substation lines, as well as 11 kV and 440 V low voltage substations and lines that supply electrical power to your home or business.

PESCO BILL ONLINE INFORMATION

You can only determine whether your last month’s bill has been paid by checking the status of the last month’s bill. This can be done by opening the full bill and referring to the payment history where you can see the records of the past 12 months and see the amounts paid.

In addition to the bill amount and due date, you can view the full bill which includes information such as meter reading dates, bill issue dates, and the amount to pay after the due date with the added surcharge, etc. You can easily download PESCO duplicate bill or pay online bill.

PESCO ONLINE BILL REFERENCE NUMBER

For checking PESCO online bill, you will have to have a PESCO bill reference number. First of all, let’s see what PESCO Reference Number consists of. PESCO bill reference number is comprised of 14 digits.

E.g 01 26663 1234567

The first digit 01 represents your batch number. It can differ by area. This shows your record will be part of this batch. The batch number is the only thing that can change but not often.

The number 266663 is composed of five digits and represents your sub-division. It indicates your area of electricity. Each division may be divided into a number of sub-divisions for the easement of the consumer.

The last 7 numbers 1234567 are the consumer’s permanent numbers. These are assigned permanently to PESCO customers.

REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO CHECK BILL

The reference number is needed for checking PESCO electricity bills. In order to get the duplicate bill, your reference number is all you need. You can’t check it by name or ID.

PESCO PEAK HOURS

PESCO recommends that you reduce your power consumption during peak hours to lower your electricity bill and stabilize the electric supply in your region. Below are the PESCO peak hours:

From April to October                           6:30 PM to 10:30 PM

From November to March                    6 PM to 10 PM

PROCEDURE TO CHECK PESCO ONLINE BILL

If you want to check the PESCO bill online, then you can check it through its official website by putting the reference number on your mobile or computer. Following is the procedure step by step which you can follow:

  1. Go to the allonlinebill.com website.
  2. Enter the 14 digits reference number.
  3. You will find the latest bill amount with a due date.
  4.  Download a duplicate copy of the bill.

TRANSFER PROCESS OR NEW CONNECTION

For a new property where the PESCO connection has already been registered with its previous owner, you will need to follow the same procedure as for a new connection. Go to the nearest office to apply for a name change.

TAXES IN PESCO BILL

Following are some taxes present in the PESCO bill:

FPA (Fuel Price Adjustment)

The FPA price in the Pesco bill corresponds to the fuel price of rental power companies generating electricity from crude oil. During times of fuel price fluctuation, you will see this amount on your bill.

DEFERRED AMOUNT

Your next bills may include the deferred bill in instalments or in full, with no late charges applied. You can pay this bill in the same month or next month.

FC SURCHARGE

For the purpose of collecting the debt service of the Power Holding Private Limited, the officials decided to charge 43 paise as an FC surcharge per unit.

QTR TARIFF

The tariff adjustment amount is calculated quarterly. This amount appears on your bill once every three months.

TR (Tariff Rationalization) SURCHARGE

The GOP will pay this difference as a “subsidy” if it is positive. Distribution Company will pay GOP as “Inter DISCO Tariff Rationalization Surcharge (IDTR SUR)” in case of negative difference.

E.D:

Charges for electricity are calculated at 1.5% on all units consumed in a billing month.

GST:

There is a General Sale Tax (GST) of 17% which is calculated after adding Electronic Delivery (E.D) and Variable Charges.

INCOME TAX:

In addition to applying income tax to commercial consumers, income tax is now being applied to domestic consumers who consume 1000 units a month or more.

SALES TAX:

Sales tax is only applied to commercial consumers.
