LESCO BILL FIELDS
Let’s take a look at some terms used in LESCO BILL FIELDS e.g PM Relief, CR Meaning, etc.
The Government provided relief to LESCO and all other electric supply companies in the Coronavirus Pandemic, enabling domestic consumers who consumed less than 300 units of electricity to either pay or not pay their bills, and if they didn’t pay, payment would be deducted from the next bill. With the PM Relief package, even commercial consumers have received subsidies on their electricity bills.
CR represents the credit bill amount. It is what appears on your bill if you paid more than the actual amount due on your last bill. This amount will be deducted from your next bill since it is a kind of payment made in advance. For example, if you have CR = -500, you have to pay only 1500, as the 500 deducts from 2000, and the remaining 500 will be deducted from 1500.
TAXES IN LESCO
Following are the terms used in LESCO BILL.
TR (TARIFF RATIONALIZATION) SURCHARGE:
Tariffs set by NEPRA and General Provisions Office (GOP) determine the TR Surcharge. The Government announces a uniform tariff for all distribution companies. TR is the difference in tariffs between NEPRA and GOP.
If the difference is positive, GOP will pay it as a “Subsidy.” However, if the difference is negative, the Distribution Company will pay GOP as an “Inter DISCO Tariff Rationalization Surcharge (IDTR SUR)”.
Power Holdings Private Limited is required to apply this surcharge to units consumed for the purpose of debt collection. This surcharge was initiated on 10th June 2015.
Your bill amount can be paid in full or delayed, and the current amount will be divided into instalments and added to the next bills, without late charges.
GST (GENERAL SALES TAX):
GST stands for General Sales Tax, which is applicable to electricity costs. The recent ratio percentage is 17.
It is the amount remaining from the last bill or the amount that was not paid. If you paid a partial amount on your bill or converted your bill to an instalment, this field may appear.
